Bricks are back in a big way with the increasingly popular interior feature appearing in new developments across Ballina.

ABC Brick Sales Director Andrew Mills has been providing bricks to the region for 23 years and has recently seen extreme growth in the demand for interior brick features.

“Ballina has experienced quite a lot of growth over the last year particularly in terms of residential development.

“We’ve noticed a huge spike in orders in the area and a lot of our customers are installing brick feature walls, fireplaces and the like.”

Both practical and affordable, bricks work with any aesthetic and are popular with those looking to renovate.

“The benefits of using bricks are many. They never date, can be painted or left exposed and you can’t really go overboard when using them as a feature.”

As Ballina’s construction sector booms and with both commercial and residential projects increasing across Australia, there is no shortage of demand for bricks.

The local population is set to grow by 20% over the next 20 years and with that, comes the demand for further housing and infrastructure.

ABC Brick Sales has been in operation since 1978 and has grown from a one-location business to a multi-outlet chain spanning locally to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

The business, which has grown exponentially in recent times, is set to expand further along with many others in the area.
