Subsequent investigations made by police attached to Operation Centura, established to investigate the alleged incident, led to police executing two search warrants.

About 6am yesterday, detectives from Richmond Local Area Command, with the assistance of the Tactical Response Unit, the State Protection Support Unit, Firearm Detection Dogs and the Target Action Group, simultaneously executed search warrants at two separate properties on Callistemon Place, Casino.

At the first property, police allegedly seized a number of items including an amount of cannabis, firearm cartridges and a utility vehicle which was allegedly purchased with the proceeds of crime.

At the second property, police allegedly seized a number of items including an amount of cannabis and a replica firearm.

As a result of the search warrants, police arrested a 24-year-old Casino man at the scene.

He was taken to Lismore Police Station for questioning and was later charged with aggravated robbery with a dangerous weapon and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
