Attorney-General Robert McClelland has announced the outcome of performance reviews of the first 15 Family Relationship Centres.
These centres opened their doors in July 2006 and have been the subject of a performance review over the past six months.
All centres were found to be performing well and eight of the Family Relationship Centres have been awarded a performance payment for achieving high quality outcomes for their clients.
“I am pleased to announce that the Lismore Family Relationship Centre has been awarded a performance payment for performing highly,” Mr McClelland said.
The Federal Member for Page, Janelle Saffin MP welcomed the announcement.
“The centre has been doing some great work with community and family law services to build links that assist complex clients to access the services they need,” Ms Saffin said.
The Lismore Family Relationship Centre is located at the Market Street Community Centre, 5 Market Street, Lismore, and provides outreach services from sites in Casino, Ballina, Tweed Heads and Kyogle.
The centre provides information and referral services to families experiencing family relationship issues or going through separation.
The centre also provides advice and dispute resolution for separated families.
