A man will appear in court next month after being charged with high range PCA at Suffolk Park yesterday.
Shortly before 5pm police pulled over a black Volkswagen Golf in Clifford Street, Suffolk Park, for the purpose of a random breath test.
Police will allege the male driver of the vehicle returned a positive breath test.
As a result the 49-year-old Byron Bay man was arrested and taken to Byron Bay Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis.
It will be alleged the man returned a reading of 0.280.
The man was charged with high range PCA.
He was issued with a court attendance notice to appear at Byron Bay Local Court on 23 May 2008.
