Police investigate death of six-year-old boy in Grafton

Police are investigating the death of a six-year-old boy at Grafton yesterday.

About 7.40pm, Saturday 20 September 2008, a six-year-old boy was found by his mother in the bath at a house in Cranworth Street, Grafton.

The woman contacted emergency services and attempted to resuscitate her son before ambulance officers arrived and the boy was taken to Grafton Base Hospital where he later died.

Police attended the premises and a crime scene was established.

Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s death and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of the boy’s death.

A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner.
