A 67-year-old South Lismore female became the victim of a stealing and then a callous fraud between 2pm Sunday and 9.30am Monday.

Offenders have stolen her wallet whilst she was shopping; she has then been contacted, allegedly by her bank informing her of fraudulent transactions.

During the conversation the victim was convinced to divulge her PIN details to the caller of all her credit cards.

The caller has advised the victim they would send her some cash to tide her over until her new cards arrive from the bank.

The caller was true to their word, having an amount of cash delivered via courier to the victim.

Police again send out a warning to residents not to divulge any personal or banking details over the phone or via computer to anyone.
