The NSW Government has granted close to $900,000 to upgrade the Kyogle sewerage treatment works so it is more environmentally friendly.

The State’s Minister for Water, Phillip Costa, says the overhaul will improve the facility’s pumping systems.

He said the upgraded system will allow recycled waste to flow to and maintain a newly developed wetland.

Mr Costa says the upgrade is part of the $1.1b water supply and sewerage scheme involving 350 projects across the State.
