Police appeal for information following sexual assault

Richmond Local Area Command Detectives are seeking information to assist in the identification of a male person for an alleged Serious Sexual Assault in the Davidson Oval Lismore (Rec 10) near the cricket shed/pitch area between 1.30am and 2.30am on Friday 19th September 2008.

Police are seeking anyone who may be able to assist with the identification of the male described as mid 30 to 40 years of age, Caucasian appearance, standing 165 to 170cm tall, of medium build, with ash blonde hair and of medium complexion.

At the time the male was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and black work boots.

Detectives say the attacker had lain in wait behind the oval’s change-rooms and struck as the teenager took a short-cut home after a night out.

Anyone who may have information or may have seen a male attacking a female in or around the area is asked to contact detectives on 66-260599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
