Richmond Area command Police conducted Operation Drink Drive late last week with the following results:
Restraint Traffic Infringement Notices (TINS) 4
Other TINS 75
Speed Offence TINS 41
Breath Tests 1268
PCA Offences Detected 5
Other traffic-related charges 7.

Police have issued infringement notices to three young adults — male 18, male 18 and a female aged 18 — for consumption of alcohol in Alcohol Free Zones over the weekend.
The offences occurred in Lennox Head and Ballina CBDs in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police arrested a 27-year-old Goonellabah male after he allegedly refused to speak to police when details were requested from him, after being requested to leave licensed premises due to his intoxication.
He was issued with an infringement notice for Fail to Quit.
Patrons are reminded that they have to leave licensed premises immediately when requested to do so by staff or police, and are not allowed to return within 24 hours.
Failure to leave the premises immediately or patrons not leaving the area outside the premises are both separate offences.

A number of incidents occurred over the weekend where patrons making their way home after a night out became victims of crime.
Police remind residents to plan their way home, either by designated driver, taxi or by using the Late Night Bus.
Several people became victims of opportunistic crime due to walking home alone in dark or secluded areas in the early hours of the morning.
