The Australian Government is holding a public information session in Lismore on February 26 about its Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS).
The session starts at 1pm and will go approximately two hours. It will be at the Lismore & District Workers Club.
The session will include an introduction by the Minister for Climate Change, Senator Penny Wong, and a presentation by a senior executive from the Department of Climate Change, via a Sky Channel broadcast.
“The presentation will provide information about the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme, assistance to households and industry under the scheme, the Climate Change Action Fund and a whole lot more,” a spokeswoman said.
“Although no one from the Department will be physically present at the presentation, participants will still be able to ask questions. A telephone hotline will be open during the broadcast, with phones available. People can also email questions in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org”
Seating is limited, so people interested in attending should register by phoning 1800 057 590, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-7pm AEST.
