Tweed Shire Council is set to reprint the Tweed Art Trail brochure and is calling for expressions of interest from local gallery operators who may want to be featured in the next edition.
The current Tweed Art Trail brochure details the location of new and established public and commercial galleries, artist’s studios, co-operatives, artist-run spaces and public art.
The Tweed Art Trail has been produced as part of a series of tourism trails designed to help visitors discover the shire’s many cultural delights and reflects the diversity of the shire’s cultural assets and destinations.
Tweed River Art Gallery Director Susi Muddiman said the Tweed is well-known as a haven for artists.
“Locals and visitors are spoiled for choice when it comes to the range of galleries featuring regional artworks and crafts, and the Tweed Art Trail brochure is a handy guide,” Ms Muddiman said.
“Following the trail is also so enjoyable because it’s a lovely drive.”
To be included in the new edition, contact Anne Schardin, Assistant Gallery Director at the Tweed River Art Gallery on (02) 66 2791 by Friday 27 February.
