Police seize drugs in Gundurimba raid

Police from Richmond Local Area Command Target Action Group conducted a search warrant on a Riverbank Road, Gundurimba, at 8am on Tuesday morning.

Police have charged a 44-year-old Lismore man with cultivate and possess prohibited drug and possess prohibited weapons.

He has been bailed to Lismore Local Court.

Police will alleged during the warrant they seized 20 cannabis plants, 950gm of cannabis leaf, a replica pistol, slingshot and baton.

Crime Manager Detective Inspector Steve Clarke said: “Police attended the premises after securing a warrant through Lismore Local Court.

“Police then conducted the search warrant.

“This warrant displays the commitment shown by police to continue to work with the community targeting those growing and distributing prohibited drugs in the command.

“Police will continue to allocate resources targeting all prohibited drugs which is in keeping with the State plan.”
