A man has been charged with a number of offences following his arrest at an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) clubhouse on the State’s Far North Coast.

About 8.30pm on Friday (24 April 2009) police were conducting a licensing inspection at an OMCG clubhouse in Morton Street, Chinderah.

Officers spotted a 27-year-old man who was allegedly wanted in relation to a number of robberies throughout the State’s north and Far North Coast.

The man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with a number of offences, including robbery in company, aggravated assault with intent to rob, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and two counts of demanding property by force.

He appeared before the Tweed Heads Bail Court yesterday where he was formally refused bail and remanded to appear before Lismore Local Court on 27 April 2009.
