Body of missing Irish tourist Niall McDonough found

A post-mortem examination has formally identified a body found at Brunswick Heads on 20 June as that of missing Irish tourist Niall McDonough.
Police said that the 30-year-old Irish man was last seen by his girlfriend at their youth hostel in Byron Bay about 9pm on Friday 12 June, when he left to go for a walk.
His family, who had travelled to Byron Bay, has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police will prepare a report for the information of the coroner.
