Man charged with murder in Lismore

A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of another man’s body in Lismore yesterday.
About 8.20pm police were called to a unit in Marlyn Avenue, East Lismore, following reports of a deceased male.
Upon arrival police located the body of a 48-year-old man, who had allegedly sustained multiple stab wounds.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lismore Police Station.
A crime scene was established and detectives from Lismore began inquiries into the incident.
The 28-year-old man was subsequently charged with murder.
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Lismore Local Court today.
