A fun day out for the whole family is guaranteed when you visit the Teven-Tintenbar Public School’s Country Fair on Saturday 26 September from 9am-3pm.
“The day caters for all ages and tastes, with a huge variety of fresh local produce, great food, creative crafts, fun-filled activities for the kids, and lots of live entertainment,” said school principal, Ginny Latta.
“Teachers, parents and students are working hard to put the final touches on what promises to be a great day. Put the date into your diary and come along to see what a great local school can achieve, whilst enjoying the ambience of one of the hinterland’s most scenic locations.”
Bargain hunters will love the bric-a-brac and toys stall, and there will be an abundance of second-hand books and beautiful craft for sale.
Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a range of wholesome local produce, including a mega lamington and cake stall (get in early) and the ever-popular plant stall.
For the kids there will be a super slide, cup and saucer ride and rock ‘n roll jumping castle, a magic show, ‘Wacky Wack’ candle making, show bags, plus a Kids Activity Centre with activities such as face painting, plaster moulds and painting. Parents will have the option to purchase an all-day ride pass to help minimise costs.
There will be lots of great raffles and competitions including the unforgettable moo poo lotto, which always comes with some great prizes.
A new item for this year is the ‘Beautiful Baskets’ stall, where visitors can purchase an array of donated items, elegantly presented in a variety of baskets.
“This is our Country Fair’s 15th year, and proceeds from the day will be ploughed directly back into the school,” Ginny said.
“There will be an abundance of food stalls to tantalise the taste buds. We will have our T&T Café selling gourmet cakes and tea, and locally grown Echidna Coffee will be joining us again. In addition, we will have stalls selling samosas, sushi, Italian and our crowd pleasing BBQ stall.”
Free live entertainment will run throughout the day.
Teven-Tintenbar Public School is located in Fredericks Lane, Tintenbar.
