Bangalow groups get Climate Change grants

Member for Ballina Don Page was on hand to congratulate the successful recipients of the State Government’s Climate Change grants in Bangalow today.
“It is very encouraging to see so many Bangalow groups have been successful in applying for these grants. Six projects have brought $59,000 to Bangalow,” Mr Page said.
The successful applicants in the Bangalow area were Community Children’s Centre $23,805; Anglican Op-shop $8300; Sikh Temple $5200; Uniting Church $6600; Masonic Lodge $6600; and Bangalow Bowls and Sports Club $8500.
“These grants will fund a variety of environmental projects including solar hot water, under-floor insulation, tank/pump and toilet upgrades and energy-efficient lighting,” Mr Page said.
