Man to face court charged with armed robbery at Yamba

A man will appear in Grafton Local Court today charged with armed robbery.

Police will allege that about 1.40pm on Wednesday, October 14, a man armed with a knife entered a newsagency on Yamba Street, Yamba.

The man allegedly threatened staff before stealing a sum of cash. The man left the scene on a BMX bicycle.

Several hours later police arrested and charged 20-year-old man with armed robbery.

He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
