Four local men honoured with OAMs

Four local people have been honoured in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
John McMahon, of Lismore, pictured, Jim Crethar, of Lismore, John Beasley, of Lennox Head, and John Mace, of Modanville, have received the Order of Australia Medal (OAM).
John McMahon, a former Balmain grade player who also played a few Sheffield Shield games for Queensland, was honoured for his services to cricket.
Jim Crethar received his award for services to the community. He has been heavily involved in youth services such as the Police Boys Club, and the Lismore Workers Club.
John Mace gained his award for services to firefighting.
John Beasley was honoured for services to surf lifesaving.
