Richmond Area Command police report

Police from Lismore are seeking information relating to a male person described as Aboriginal, average build and height, short black hair, 30-35 old, wearing a black jumper with yellow and red stripes on the cuffs, and black pants.

The male may be able to assist police with their inquiries in relation to a robbery where a 75-year-old Lismore male was robbed whilst seated in his vehicle after attending a bank in Magellan Street, Lismore.

Overnight police have attended two motor vehicle accidents:

A 40-year-old Ballina male riding a 2002 Kawasaki 1300 allegedly collided into a turning Camry driven by a 71-year-old Ballina male at 5.40pm on Wednesday afternoon.

The cyclist received back and neck injuries.

The incident occurred at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Tweed Street, Ballina.

A runaway Nissan collided into a stationary Iveco Van in Blue Seas Parade, Lennox Head, some time prior to midnight Tuesday night.

It is alleged the Nissan travelled some distance down the street before the collision.

A warning to motorists to check parking brakes before leaving vehicles.

An 18-year-old Barkers Vale male has been charged with High Range PCA (0.185), disqualified driver and driving an unregistered/uninsured after he was stopped allegedly driving a 2001 Holden in Dibbs Street, Lismore, at 2am on Thursday morning.

Police checks revealed the male to be disqualified until August 2008 and the vehicle unregistered since February.
