Police are appealing for information from the public following a break and enter at a licensed premise at Brunswick Heads this morning.

About 12.30am an alarm sounded at the Pacific Highway club. It appears the offenders have arrived at the rear of the club in a car and gained access through the roof. Police believe the offenders may have been at the premises for a number of hours.

The offenders have then cut open the ATM dispenser and jemmied open a number of poker machines, removing an amount of cash.

Attempts to open two large safes, however, were unsuccessful.

Police attended and crime scene was established.
