Police are appealing for public assistance following a serious collision at North Lismore on Friday.
About 2.12pm yesterday (Friday 30 April 2010), a Honda CBR1000 motorcycle and a Mazda Bravo four-wheel drive collided whilst travelling on Dunoon Road.
The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old Lismore man, was thrown from the bike, sustaining leg and internal injuries. He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition and later airlifted to Brisbane Hospital.
The 47-year-old driver and 11-year-old passenger of the 4WD escaped injury.
Ballina Crash Investigation Unit is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
