Man arrested with drugs at Ballina restaurant

A man has been charged with serious drug offences after a search warrant in Ballina last night.
About 10pm, police from Richmond Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a restaurant in Ballina, arresting a 21-year-old man at the scene.
Police allegedly found a significant amount of pills, believed to be ecstasy, in his possession, as well as an amount of cash.
The Alstonville man was taken to Ballina Police Station where he was charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug and deal with property suspected of being proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court this morning.
The arrests come as part of the ongoing targeting of drug supply in Richmond Local Area Command.
