Missing man sought by police – Tweed Heads

Police have appealed to the community for assistance after the disappearance of an elderly man at Tweed Heads on Thursday.
Investigators believe that 85-year-old Michael Lalos was last seen about midday on Thursday at the Tweed Heads ‘Centro’ shopping centre.
Mr Lalos is fit and active for his age and regularly walks to local shopping centres from his home in Kirra, Queensland.
Police and Mr Lalos’s family have searched several areas he is known to frequent and local hospitals have also been checked for sightings of him.
He is described as being of Mediterranean appearance with a stocky build and short grey, receding hair.
When last seen he was wearing a brown t-shirt, brown shorts and black thongs.
Mr Lalos does suffer from a medical condition and requires medication.
