Casino Police are seeking assistance from the public in relation to a 38-year-old female who was allegedly robbed in Webb Park, River Street, Casino.
Police will allege the female, who walks with the assistance of a walking stick, attended the toilet block around 10.30am on Monday morning.
As she entered the cubicle she was pushed backwards by the door and punched, which knocked her to the ground.
A male has stolen the victim’s handbag containing cash, cards and personal cards and papers.
Due to her disability the female lay inside the cubicle unable to get up unassisted.
Some 10 minutes later a witness has located the victim, who was calling out for help, with Police and Ambulance being called soon after.
The victim was taken to Casino Hospital for treatment.
The victim suffered shock and soft tissue injury as a result of the robbery.
The alleged offender is described as Aboriginal male, approx 20 years, 170cm (5ft 7in), solid build, nil facial hair, medium length hair, solid build. Wearing dark coloured puffy jacket.
