Police in the Northern Rivers area have arrested and charged another man following a lengthy investigation into local drug supply.
In January this year, Richmond Local Area Command detectives launched ‘Operation Redmahogany’ to examine the supply of prohibited drugs in the Lismore, Goonellabah and Ballina areas.
As a result of inquiries, investigators today arrested a 50-year-old man at Silverwater, in Sydney’s west, and charged him with conspiracy to supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity).
He has been ordered to appear in Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 19 October).
Two other men, aged 44 and 50, and two women, aged 23 and 49, are already before the courts after being charged by strike force detectives with conspiracy to supply prohibited drugs.
It will be alleged the group conspired to purchase and supply 1000 MDMA pills (ecstasy) for $10,000 in the Northern Rivers area.
