Cudgen Surf Life Saving Club on the Far North Coast have put out an urgent call for all members to assist in sandbagging due to overnight beach erosion.

Members of Far North Coast Surf Life Saving Clubs are asked to assemble at noon to assist in the co-ordination of the sand bagging of the beach front directly out the front of the Surf Life Saving Club.

Extensive erosion of the beach and foreshore have taken place overnight, damaging beach access.

Although the damage is not excessive, Tweed Shire council workers are working with surf club members to minimise the impact to the foreshore.
