Far North Coaster surf report

The big swell that has been promised by a low pressure system in the south has eventuated today, with waves well over 2m this morning.

The wind is offshore and is forecast to remain that way until Sunday.

Marine weather:

Friday until midnight: Wind: W/SW 10/15 knots with afternoon sea breeze 5/10 knots in the north. Sea: about 1 metre. Swell: S 1.5 to 2.5 metres.

Saturday: Wind: W/SW 10/15 knots, increasing to 20/25 knots offshore late afternoon or evening. Sea: about 1 metres, rising to 1.5 to 2.5 metres in the evening. Swell: S 1.5 to 2.5 metres.

Sunday Outlook: Wind: SW/SE 15/25 knots, easing later.

Monday Outlook: Wind: SW/SE 10/15 knots.
