Lismore Greyhound Club hosts KIC fundraiser

November 22, 2008

Lismore Greyhound Racing will host the annual fundraising event for Kids in the Community Inc on Tuesday 25 November 2008 at Lismore Greyhound Race Track, Molesworth Street, Lismore.

The recently refurbished premises at Lismore Greyhound Race Track provide an outstanding venue from which to watch the races, have dinner and enjoy a pre-Christmas social occasion to support the aim of Kids in Community – raising awareness of the positive role young people play in our local communities.

The evening starts at 6.30pm and all 10 races have been sponsored by local businesses and organisations supporting the work of Kids in the Community.

Buying tickets prior to the evening will cost $5 and are available from Beaux Cheveux Hairdressing, Magellan Street, Lismore, and Greg Jones Barber Shop, 8 Warina Walk Lismore.

Group tables can be booked at Lismore Greyhound Race Track by phoning the track prior to Tuesday 25th.

KIC raises much-needed awareness of the optimistic and enthusiastic attitude of young people, bringing to public attention the positive and meaningful ways that youth participate in our community.

PICTURE: Discussing program for Tuesday’s event are John Scholton (Lismore Greyhound Club), Maria Kelly (Kids in Community Inc), Mary Willis (Kids in Community Inc), seated Robyn Allen (Kids in Community Inc).
