Grafton Ghosts, Byron Bay share the lead in NRRRL

Last season’s grand finalists Byron Bay and Grafton Ghosts share the lead in Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League after five rounds.

Ghosts today beat home-town rivals Grafton Rhinos, while Byron Bay beat Murwillumbah.

Both teams are on eight points, two ahead of Mullumbimby, Cudgen, Northern United and Lower Clarence.

In other results this weekend, Kyogle upset Mullumbimby, Ballina beat Lismore Marist Brothers, Cudgen beat Casino RSM, Lower Clarence hammered Evans Head, and Northern United beat Tweed Coast.

The NRRRL last week announced that the Northern United v Tweed Coast match had been deferred, but it went ahead today.
