Byron Bay beaten by Tweed Coast Raiders
May 24, 2009
Only two matches were played in Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League this weekend, and premiers Byron Bay are probably wishing their match was among those postponed.
The Red Devils made the trip up the coast and were beaten 20-10 by Tweed Coast Raiders at Les Berger Field, Cabarita.
The only other match was at Mullumbimby, where the Giants proved too good for Cudgen, winning 32-8.
All other games were victims of heavy grounds in the wake of last week’s torrential rain in the region.
NRRRL secretary Doug Harrison a decision will be made this week on when the deferred games will be played.
