Lower Clarence beat Grafton Ghosts in NRRRL

NRRRL competition co-leaders Lower Clarence bounced back from a surprise loss to Ballina the previous round to beat Grafton Ghosts 22-20 in Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League at Yamba today.

Lower share the lead on 18 points with Northern United, but United, held to a narrow 34-32 win over Cudgen yesterday, have a match in hand against Mullumbimby, to be played in Lismore this Tuesday night.

A win to Mullumbimby in that match would see a three-way tie for the lead, with the Giants sharing second spot on 16 with Byron Bay. A win to United would see them alone on top.

Despite the loss, Grafton Ghosts are still in the five, but Cudgen and Grafton Rhinos are now only two points behind them.
