Northern NSW Under-17s to contest national final

Northern NSW Under-17s squad will contest a National title against Queensland on Saturday after a 1-0 win in their semi-final over NSW Country in the National Youth football Championships for Girls in Coffs Harbour.

The Northern NSW Under-15s were defeated in their semi-final and will compete for 3rd/4th place today against NSW Country.

Under 15 Years: Semi Final 1 – Queensland 2 (H Raso 33′, B Lewis 53′) def Northern NSW 0; Semi Final 2 – NSW Metro 4 (R Soutar 1’, H Makrillos 7’/13’/48’) def NSW Country 0.

Under 17 Years: Semi final 1 – Queensland 1 (B Whitfield 61′) def NSW Metro 0; Semi final 2 – Northern NSW 1 (R Dobson 34’) def NSW Country 0.

Day Eight – Saturday 18th July 2009: 9.30am Queensland v Northern NSW, 1st/2nd place.
