A big day as Lower Clarence, Northern United meet in NRRRL

It will be a big day on and off the field at Maclean Showground on Sunday when Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition pacesetters Lower Clarence and Northern United meet in the NRRRL match of the round.

Lower Clarence Magpies lead the competition, two ahead of Northern United. At stake could be the minor premiership, as well as a huge psychological advantage going into the finals.

The sides met in round two, with Northern United meeting stiff opposition from Lower Clarence. Scores were locked at 20-all in the second half before United skipped away to a 28-20 win in Lismore.

Off the field there will be a celebration of Indigenous culture as the clubs mark the United Nations World Day of Indigenous People.
