Lower Clarence beats Northern United to clinch minor title

Lower Clarence clinched the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League 2009 minor premiership with a 34-28 win over Northern United at Maclean in today’s match of the round in NRRRL.

The win puts Lower Clarence on 30 points, four ahead of equal second-placed Northern United and Mullumbimby. Mullumbimby are ahead of United on percentages.

With only one round remaining, Lower cannot be beaten for the minor title, and today’s win over Northern United sees them emerge as major premiership favourites.Other results saw the top five teams as Lower Clarence, Mullumbimby, Northern United, Byron Bay and Grafton Ghosts.
