Andrew from Dave’s Bait shop in Ballina says there’s lot of school jew on plastics and bait, run of fish averaging 6kg and some around 20kg.
Some nice bream and flathead, with big tailor at night. Anywhere from South Beach to Tallow has been good. Whiting and flathead.
Blackfish around the walls on cabbage and weed with some nice bream.
A few snapper on the closer reefs, with pearl perch on the 32s and blue eye trevalla on the shelf and yellowfin out wide.
The river has blackfish, still some mullet and some nice bream. Flathead and school jew as well.
Plenty of fish at the Evans Head Classic, as you’d expect with 750 anglers.
