The villages of Brunswick Heads and Ocean Shores have greatly contrasting histories.
Ocean Shores was a planned community established in the 1970s with a population of approximately 3,800. The town is home to a small shopping area and has a well regarded golf course which meanders through the town.
Brunswick Heads has a population of 1,600 and has enjoyed a long standing history as a holiday location. Whilst the surrounding area has been heavily developed, for the most part Brunswick Heads has retained its village charm. The village enjoys two boat ramps and has a quiet beach across the road from the Hotel.
