Iluka
About Iluka
Iluka is home to about 1,800 people. The village has a large fishing fleet and enjoys majestic beaches and a world heritage listed littoral rainforest.
Sleepy thoughout the year, the town comes alive over the summer period, with locals flocking to the pristine beaches and fishing fields. It is not uncommon for people to commute to the large centres for work over this period as they move closer to the beach.
Whilst not a large shopping haven, the village is well catered for the traveller and being close to Yamba ensures that you can access all the necessities (if not available in Iluka).
What’s on offer
Iluka has excellent fishing conditions with rock, river, ocean and beach fishing available.
The village is home to 2 clubs and a pub, and there is always something happening.
Accommodation in the town is limited over the holiday periods so book early.
