Motorists beware: local police have warned that they will target various offences on Wednesday, August 13, as part of the Statewide Operation Compliance 4.

Among the offences targeted will be:

  • Drive using hand-held mobile phone
  • Seat belt and helmet offences
  • Parking offences in school zones
  • Exceed speed offences in school zones
  • Children’s crossing offences.

Richmond Area Command Traffic Officer Senior Constable Rob Clarke said: “Motorists are reminded of the need to comply with traffic laws at all times and drive to road conditions.

“All police vehicles will, as part of the operation, focus on traffic violations with particular emphasis on School Zones.”
