Lismore Police have arrested and charged two Lismore males aged 18 and 21 in relation to the serious stabbing of a 29-year-old Lismore male in East Lismore at 9.20pm on Monday night.

The males have been charged with intentionally Wound Person, Affray, Armed with Intent to commit indictable offence and Resist Arrest.

It appears the incident escalated after a verbal altercation.

The alleged offenders have armed themselves with sharp instruments and allegedly stabbed the victim.

The victim has run onto Cynthia Wilson Drive, East Lismore, being pursued by the alleged offenders.

The victim will undergo surgery Tuesday at Lismore Base Hospital.

Both male offenders have been bailed refused to Lismore Local Court on Tuesday 12th August 2008.

Detectives are seeking anyone who was in the area at the time or may have any information as asked to call Lismore Police on 66-260599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

Ballina Police are investigating an alleged aggravated break and enter where a 22-year-old male was allegedly beaten with a blunt object by an older male at his Burnett Street Ballina home around 4.20pm on Monday afternoon.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Ballina Police are investigating an internet fraud where a 32-year-old Teven male was duped of around $10,000 when he attempted to purchase a Holden Monaro HQ GTS on-line.

In his dealings with the alleged offender he received numerous emails which appeared to be authentic.
