HOG (Harley Owners Group) enthusiasts from Australia and all over the world are getting ready to celebrate one of the most important Harley-Davidson anniversary years — the 25th year of the HOG and the 18th national Australian HOG rally.
This year’s annual Australian HOG rally will be held in one of the most beautiful locations in Australia – Lennox Head, from October 3-5.
Commencing on Friday October 3, this year’s rally is anticipated to draw more than 2000 Harley-Davidson enthusiasts and over 1500 motorbikes to Lennox Head.
As a celebratory year, record attendance is anticipated.
HOG Event Manager Jolynn Miller said: “2008 is an important anniversary year for our members so we have new activities to make the event extra special.
“For the first time in 2008, we will have live coverage of the MotoGP on big screens, and also have two new competitions; best tattoo and best vest.
“We also particularly wanted to make sure local residents feel welcome to take part.
“This year, as with other years, we will have demonstration rides, the Saturday Bike show and the Thunder Run to make sure the general public and particularly Lennox Head residents truly feel welcome.”
Highlights of this year’s rally include:
Harley-Davidson 2009 new model demonstrations every hour;
The Harley-Davidson Show and Shine competition;
Guided rides in and around Lennox Head;
A Harley-Davidson clothing and merchandise make-over;
Live entertainment featuring Lisa Hunt, Matt Seaburg Duo, Fossil Rock and Shimmer.
The famous Thunder Run — more than 1200 bikes will roar through in Lennox Head on Sunday October 5.
