Police have arrested another male following the ongoing operation being run within the Richmond Local Area Command targeting the supply, use and sale of prohibited drugs.

Police charged a 51-year-old Nimbin male on Wednesday afternoon with Supply Prohibited Drug and Knowingly Concerned in the Supply of Prohibited Drug, relating to an incident which occurred within a business premises in Cullen Street, Nimbin, on Friday 28th March and Saturday 29th March 2008.

Richmond Local Area Command Police Acting Commander Steve Clarke said: “Police resources will continue the targeting of those involved in the prohibited drug trade and further arrests are expected.”

Kyogle Police are seeking assistance in relation to the shooting of numerous farmed pigs on a Horseshoe Creek Road property between 8am 1st April and 10am on Wednesday 23rd April.

The animals that are housed on the property have been maliciously injured by the unlawful discharge of a firearm.

The injuries to the pigs have caused the owner to have the animals euthanased.
