Lismore detectives have arrested and charged a 38-year-old Lismore female charging her with two counts of  Supply a Commercial Quantity of Prohibited Drugs (heroin and methylamphetamine).

A Lismore male aged 43 was also charged by warrant (as he is currently deported) with Supply a Commercial Quantity of Prohibited Drugs, (heroin and methylamphetamine), and with Ongoing Supply of Prohibited Drug.

The two were arrested as part of Operation Tonkie, which is a continuing operation targeting the use, sale and supply of prohibited drugs within the Richmond Police Command.

The female is due to appear in Lismore Local Court today Monday 4th November 2008.

Detective Inspector Steve Clarke said: “These arrests are part of the command’s targeting of those involved in prohibited drugs. Police resources will continue to focus on illegal drug activity.”
