catsPopular Melbourne band The Cat Empire will play an all-ages all-weather outdoor gig at Mullumbimby Giants rugby league ground on Saturday, March 14.

The band which has played more than 660 shows in a seven-year career has played at Mullum previously, but indications are that this next one will be even bigger, according to promoters Ku Promotions.

“The Cat Empire has played live to more people than any other all Australian band this decade,” the promoters said.

“It’s a fitting tribute for them to release both a live CD – ‘Live On Earth’ – and a live DVD – ‘Live At The Bowl’ – on February 20, and team it up with the announcement of more live shows.”
