Quota Club of Kyogle nominated Mrs Kennedy as the quiet achiever, her diligence enjoyed and appreciated by the lives she has touched.

Mrs Kennedy is involved in visiting hospital patients in Kyogle Court, donating knitted products to charities for children and humanitarian ventures, Lismore Soup Kitchen, Lifeline and Anglicare Op Shop, baby packs for New Guinea and the Women’s Refuge.

“There are so many women whose successes and achievements encourage and inspire,” Mr George said.

“Today I enjoyed the opportunity to join with the communities they represent, their peers, family and friends to celebrate and recognise their huge contribution.

“It was my pleasure to honour these women and their achievements, as they are important means of building the confidence and pride of all women, as well as encouraging other women and girls by publicly presenting mentors and positive role models. Congratulations to all nominees and Mrs Kennedy.”
