Member for Ballina Don Page today announced the successful applicants for the Community Building Partnership Program, totalling $398,950.

Mr Page said there were a large number of applications for the program, which was designed to stimulate the local economy and provide jobs. 

The successful recipients were:

Ø      Ballina Little Athletics $15,000

Ø      Ballina River Street Children’s Centre Inc. $25,000

Ø      Ballina Shire Council – upgrade to Saunders Oval $40,000

Ø      Bangalow Tennis Club $3650

Ø      Bangalow Children’s Community Centre $40,000

Ø      Byron Community Centre Theatre $50,000

Ø      Lennox Head Combined Sports Association $29,000

Ø      Lennox Head Junior Rugby League Club $20,000

Ø      Mullumbimby Community Garden Inc. $30,000

Ø      Richmond Valley Woodcrafters Club Inc. $25,000

Ø      1st Byron Bay Scout Group $1300

Ø      Spaghetti Circus Ltd $20,000

Ø      The Bangalow Pool Trust Inc. $80,000

Ø      Summerland House, Alstonville $20,000

“Due to the large number of applicants, unfortunately, not everyone was successful in this round. However, there may be another round of funding and the unsuccessful applicants will be notified if subsequent funding becomes available,”  Mr Page said.

“These funds will go towards building important community facilities and will be very well-received by each organisation in the community. I congratulate all of the successful applicants.”
