Police from the Coffs Clarence Local Area Command are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision near Grafton yesterday.
About 11.30am (Saturday 12 June) a 42-year-old man riding his motorbike with three other motorcyclists, was travelling west on the Gwydir Highway at Ramornie, about 20km west of Grafton.
The rider failed to negotiate a bend in the road and came off his bike, into a group of trees.
The man died at the scene.
Police and other emergency services attended and conducted inquiries.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
