Casino provided the upset of round 15 of the Far North Coast rugby union competition, beating leaders Lennox Head 41-33 at Casino on Saturday.

The Bulls crossed for seven tries and the win kept alive their slim semi-final hopes.

Despite the loss, Lennox Head still leads the competition on 49 points, two ahead of Coolgangatta Tweed, who had the bye on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Lismore put the final nail in the coffin for last year’s beaten grand finalists Grafton with a 49-0 thumping of the Redmen at Lismore.

Lismore crossed for seven tries, all converted by Matt Bermingham.

Ballina stayed in the semi-final race, beating Southern Cross University 57-10 at Ballina.

Wollongbar Alstonville are in equal second spot with Coolangatta Tweed, thanks to their 34-5 win over Yamba at Wollongbar.

Ben Damen, the competition’s top try-scroer, bagged another two for Wollongbar Alstonville.
