All six netball associations of the Far North Coast will be fielding a senior team in the 2008 Premier Netball League, a regional Interdistrict competition of Netball NSW.

The Premier Netball League for the Far North Coast region of New South Wales will commence on Saturday 3 May at Ballina with Ballina RSL v Byron 2481, Casino with Casino Tatts v Grafton DEX and at Lower Clarence with Clarence Coast v Lismore Daleys.

Teams will compete on a home-and-away basis, with games commencing at around 3pm each Saturday, for 10 rounds with a finals series to commence on 16 August 2008

Netball NSW regional co-ordinator Leslie Kirk believes that this competition will provide an excellent opportunity for players, coaches, umpires and spectators to enjoy tough competition week in and week out.

“It is an exciting time for netball within the Far North Coast region. We all love netball and this netball premier league will be striving towards providing high-quality elite competition for our local talented athletes,” said Kirk.

Games are free for spectators, and they offer fans the chance to support their local athletes and to inspire up-and-coming netball talent.
