Round 3 Solo Cup action on the weekend has determined the final four teams from the Northern Pool who will contest the Solo Cup Quarter Finals and Semi Finals in Coffs Harbour on 10th & 11th July.

Northern Pool results for Round 3 of the Solo Cup were:

Coffs City United FC             2          v          Oxley Vale Attunga                1
Goonellabah FC                      0          v          Maclean FC                             2

Byron Bay Rams                     0          v          Woolgoolga United FC         3

The weekend’s results will see Coffs City United, Maclean FC and Woolgoolga United progress through to the Solo Cup Quarter Finals, whilst Oxley Vale Attunga also progress as ‘Lucky Losers’ from Round 3.

Opponents for the Northern Pool clubs are yet to be decided, with a rain-effected Round 3 in the Southern Pool still to be played. Matches have been rescheduled to this Wednesday June 2 in Newcastle.

The Southern Pool of clubs then play an extra round to determine their Quarter Finalists, with Round 4 scheduled for 23rd June.

The Solo Cup Quarter Finals and Semi Finals will be held at BCU International Stadium, Coffs Harbour, with the inaugural knockout series culminating in the finals to be held on August 7 at a venue yet to be finalised.

The Statewide competition with a total prize pool of $10,000 attracted 56 teams from across Northern NSW Football’s seven zones.

The Solo Cup launched a new partnership between Schweppes Australia and Northern NSW Football with both organisations excited about the opportunity to develop the game at grassroots level, commencing with the inaugural Solo Cup.
